Johann Stephan Thumhardt, 1793
Fine southern German violin by Johann Stephan Thumhardt, from Staubing, pupil of Gabriel Buchstetter. Plenty of original full brownish varnish on a deep golden brown ground. Rich, powerful, colorful sound.
With original label and sold with a certificate from Hieronymus Köstler, Stuttgart.
This fine violin is in excellent playing condition, fully restored and set-up by Lauri Kallinen.
